Klinikum Main-Spessart Hospital

With more than 1,000 employees, the Main-Spessart Hospital is one of the largest employers in the Main-Spessart region, with satellite facilities in the towns of Lohr am Main, Marktheidenfeld, Gemünden, and Karlstadt. The main hospital is an acute care general hospital with a large emergency department. The hospital is a teaching hospital for the University of Würzburg Medical School and provides cutting-edge medicine. Also housed here are a nursing school, a geriatric center, as well as two nursing homes.

In order to continue to provide the highest level of patient care and continuing education for our staff, the hospital will move to a new, state-of-the-art facility in Lohr am Main in 2024. All of our employees are encouraged to participate in the planning for the new medical center.
